Not all things beautiful are good for us, or society. Tyger Gallery in Yass is an exception to this.
Their 'Summer Showcase' is sure to warm the cockles of your heart.
The newly established contemporary art space located in the town's historic Memorial Hall is not only home to beautiful artworks but it is also doing good.

Gallery owner and art collector, Martyn Pearce, created the gallery as a way of supporting the region's talented artists and his community.
"Tyger was born of my frustration that the region's incredible artists had limited opportunities to show their works and build and develop their careers in Yass," Pearce said.
Pearce has also committed to give at least half the profits he makes to local charities which is quite extraordinary!
The first funds raised out of gallery profits will go to a range of projects which benefit the community, starting with fundraising for audio-visual equipment for the Friends of the Liberty Theatre, and contributing to building a new shed for the amazing people at the Yass Valley Men’s Shed.
Now, isn't that a breath of fresh air!
The gallery is attracting the region and country's leading emerging and established artists.
I am honoured my painting 'Summer Sun' has been selected as the show art for Tyger Gallery's Summer Showcase.
