The ‘Luminous’ series of original petite artworks is a celebration of the different ways we connect with our coastline. Each piece taps into a different energy of an experience.
 
These paintings are true to Lauren Esplin's contemporary style with emotive markings to depict the coastal landscape juxtaposed with the finer detail of the figures.
 
The frames have been stained so the grain of the wood can be seen which mimics the rippled texture of the ocean.
 
"A unique detail to these works is that I have extended the painting onto the frame, which adds a new dimension to these pieces", says Lauren.
