‘Surfers Wading Water’ instantly transports the viewer to the glistening glare of the Australian coastline where three females wade out to sea, surfboards in hand. Calming muted tones of grey blue and beige and pops of soft butter and pastel orange feature in this large artwork. The emotive free brushstrokes which form their world are juxtaposed by the finer detail of the figures, a signature of Esplin’s style.
